Reclaim the Pleasure of Learning

Self-in-Action presents a new workshop:

RECLAIMING THE PLEASURE OF LEARNING
Paul Dennison

Prerequisite:
  • NIM
  • BG101
  • Move the Body

This is a workshop designed to fulfil the needs of many Brain Gym® interns and practitioners.

Why another workshop?

Many practitioners and interns do not have a teaching background. This workshop will give a new perspective on how to use learning techniques from a drawing out perspective.

The connection between movement and learning:

If the cerebellum is underdeveloped, forming an automatism cannot take place, and known information has to be relearned as if new. Then there is very little brain capacity left for new learning. By doing balances and Brain Gym® to facilitate development of the vestibular system and cerebellum, memory hooks and learning skills are now used to give you an overview of work already learned and is therefore not an essential technique to memorise study material to pass an exam. If integrated, learning becomes a joyous experience! What a paradigm shift!

Some key aspects of the workshop:
  • Different approaches to learning
  • The Three Dimensions and Learning
  • Facts about Memory
Application of the above knowledge in:
  • Writing and Note taking
  • Mathematics
  • Homework
  • Exams
  • Concentration
  • Creativity
  • Memory techniques
  • Auditory and Communication
  • Visual, Reading and Spelling
  • Writing and Note taking
  • Mathematics
  • Homework
  • Exams
Look at learning and learning techniques from a different perspective!  Reclaim the pleasure of learning!
