Move the Body – Awaken the Mind!

Pre-requisites:
  • Neuro-Integration Movement workshop (Introduction to Brain Gym®)
  • Brain Gym 101 (Brain Gym I and II)

This is a workshop designed to fulfil the needs of many Brain Gym® interns and practitioners.

Why another workshop?

Many practitioners and interns do not have a teaching background. When clients express certain needs and use certain terminology, they are at a loss as to what it means exactly, although they know that the Brain Gym® activities and the balances will, in any case, address the needs of the clients. This workshop will also assist in the rediscovery of the importance of play in your and your client's life!
In this workshop we will address the above mentioned needs and how the learner (child or adult) is affected when certain skills and/or perceptions are not in place. We are going to add fun by playing games. Learning will now be anchored in positive experiences!

This workshop will give you the ability to connect and utilise all the knowledge that you have acquired so far during your training.

Some key aspects of the workshop:

Internalisation
  • Brain organisation
  • What inhibits learning
  • Lack of attention
  • Physical reaction to stress
  • Awareness of the seven intelligences (Gardner)
  • Emotional intelligence including the different love languages
  • Play

Near senses:

  • Vestibular sense
  • Proprioceptive sense
  • Tactile sense

Far senses:

  • Auditory sense and perceptions
  • Visual sense and perceptions
  • Tactile/touch sense and fine motor skills
  • Smell
  • Taste

Added aspects to a balance: During a balance certain Brain Gym® activities do form part of the learning menu and home play. The balance will now be reinforced by relevant games: gross motor, fine motor, three dimensional and two dimensional activities.

This will put spice and laughter into your balances! Parents will start enjoying home play!
