Brain Gym Conference 2017 - Play

It is time again for the Brain Gym  Conference
Saturday 9 September 2017,  45 Donovan Road in Midrand.
This year's theme is Play.  Are you coming to play with us and the exciting speakers we have lined up for you?

8:30 - 9:00 Registration. Estimated  time to finish 16:00
Laughter Coaching
 Laughter Coach -  Nina
When I hear the word Play, I immediately associate it with having fun and that comes with laughter. Why not start this great playful day with laughter? Nina will be engaging with us in a fun, refreshing & inspiring way. It’s interactive without being physically demanding. We are living in extremely challenging times and keeping motivated, productive, resilient and energised is often difficult. Nina will you a new way to keep yourself and others motivated, positive and how to keep into a successful mental mind space.

BONUS: you will receive a mini happiness item to take home!

For those of you have completed BG101, the ability to laugh is a pre-activity in the Centering Dimension. I don't know about you, but I always feel a little awkward having to laugh on demand. Hopefully this presentation can resolve that for us.

Moro reflex
Playing with Reflexes - Gill Brooksmith
This dynamic demonstration will actively engage you in learning techniques you can use in a sensor circuit programme that consistently integrates reflexes with pre-school and primary school children. It discusses why the integration of reflexes is so vital and is well illustrated with examples of unintegrated reflexes.  You will find it energising, fun, easy to do and even easier  to use in your clinic and classroom.
The session will close with Moro (the fight /flight reflex) movements and finally the calming down techniques.

The more we are "ruled" by our unintegrated reflexes, the harder it is to play and have fun.
After the conference, Gill Brooksmith will be offering her courses RMT (Rhythmic Movement Training) and Face the Fear.

Learn tips on how to identify the beliefs we have that prevent us from being more prosperous and how to shift these beliefs.

the natural learning process
Play: The Natural Learning Process - Sonia Hawkins
The natural learning process involves all our senses, our ability to focus and to give attention to what is relevant to our learning. Our natural true learning is based on patterns and rhythms.Throughout our lives, we naturally seek play as a single organizing rhythm to direct our learning attention.
Free play is the work of childhood. Caregivers’ work is to create an atmosphere where play becomes a natural learning process. This talk will explore some of the elements needed to facilitate the natural learning process.
